Jodhpur: Bollywood's biggest superstar Salman Khan, who was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison on Thursday in a blackbuck poaching case dating back to 1998, will not receive any VVIP treatment in the Jodhpur Jail, DIG, prisons, Vikram Singh said.    "Salman has been given number 106 & is lodged in Ward number 2. He was made to undergo medical test & has no medical issues. He hasn't made any demands. We'll give him jail uniform on Friday morning. Multiple-layer security has been put up for his ward," Singh said.   Jodhpur jail officials said Salman had not eaten anything post the verdict and even refused to have tea. New Delhi: World's cleanest petrol and diesel are now being supplied in Delhi after state-owned oil firms advanced rollout of Euro-VI grade fuel by two years in a bid to combat alarming levels of air pollution.    Since Sunday, Delhi has become the first city in the country to leapfrog from Euro-IV grade petrol and diesel to Euro-VI, which just contains 10 parts per million (ppm) of sulphur as against 50 ppm in previous grade of fuel.    Speaking at an event to mark the occasion, oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the oil industry has shown its commitment to providing clean fuel and now it is time for the automobile industry to also start introducing Euro-VI vehicles.    "Vehicle manufacturers in India are exporting Euro-VI vehicles to Europe. At least 14 persons were killed, including seven in Madhya Pradesh, and hundreds injured in violence on Monday as Dalit protesters blocked trains, clashed with police and set fire to vehicles across 12 states during a nationwide bandh against the alleged dilution of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. While three persons were killed in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, one died in Rajasthan.    The situation in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh is especially bad. Thousands have been detained across the 12 states. New Delhi: The Income Tax (IT) department on Thursday seized two bank accounts of Former cricketer and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for non-payment of taxes.    According to ANI report, while the former cricketer's tax dues stand at Rs5.2 million, payments to be made were towards dress expenses (Rs 28,38,405) travelling tour and travelling expenses (Rs38,24,282), salary expense (Rs47,11,400) and petrol and diesel expenses (Rs 17,80,358).    The Income Tax department noted that Sidhu had failed to provide documentary evidence, such as bills or invoices in support of his claim during the course of assessment proceedings.    Since the authenticity of the transactions could not be established, 30 per cent of the total expenses were disallowed in order to prevent leakage of revenue.    "The assessee had gone in to appeal against the order on January 17 last year, but the Commissioner of Income-tax (Appeals) or CIT (A) passed the o...
