Indonesian police became the centre of criticism for human rights groups and LGBT groups across the globe when they conducted raids to detain transgender women and treat them cruelly. They cutthe hair of the detained and declared that they were coaching and counseling them to behave like “real men”. This operation was named “Operation Anti Moral Illness”.
